Mothers Day 2009 was to be the Alaska Native Heritage Center's (ANHC 
) 2009 opening day celebration and grand opening for the Alaska Statehood Exhibit. Visitors could actively learn about Alaska Native cultures and the way that Alaska's inception as a State changed their lives. Five kiosks, one for each culture group, were to display videos, pictures, and audio via a touch-screen interface for visitors of all ages. The ANHC needed a technology company to create the look and feel of the user interface, provide a secure kiosk environment, manage media playback, and allow ANHC staff to make updates.
AMI and several key ANHC staff members worked closely together during each step of the process. Friendly and knowledgeable staff at the ANHC and AMI made collaboration effective and enjoyable.
The opening day celebration was a great success for both the Alaska Native Hertitage Center and AMI. The exhibit looked great, thousands of people came to enjoy the festivities, and the kiosks worked as they should. It was a great day to be at the ANHC. AMI will be adding new features to the kiosks in the near future. Stay tuned.

The kiosks are an integral part of the exhibits and we have had nothing but positive comments since they were installed. This is due in large part to AMI.
AMI met and exceeded our expectations. They designed a touch screen kiosk that will be seen by approximately 100,000 visitors a year, including school children learning about the history of Alaska. We would most definitely work with AMI again and plan to do so.
